A lot of people have been asking what are plans are for the summer so I thought I would post some information here about Brandon's work opportunities over the summer. For the first six weeks of the summer (mid-May until the end of June) he was awarded a fellowship with the Washington Legal Foundation. The WLF is a public interest law organization that seeks to promote conservative economic policies. He is so excited about this group and the work they do. He will be going to Supreme Court hearings, doing research in the Library of Congress, and working with nationally renowned constitutional lawyers. I'm excited about museums and fabulous restaurants.
For the second six weeks of the summer Brandon got a clerkship with an Austin firm, Lloyd Gosselink. They practice land, water, and environmental law. They are just exactly the kind of firm that Brandon is interested in working at long term. He flew out to Austin for a second interview there a couple months ago and loved the office and the people there. We would really like to live somewhere around Austin or San Antonio so this is a perfect situation for him to get some experience and make some contacts in that area. Both the positions are paid which takes a huge load off my mind. We feel so blessed to have been given these awesome opportunities. If anyone has any contacts in either city, we are going to be looking for some temporary housing, sublets, housesitting, etc. Please hook us up.
